Let us explain a bit more about how insurance coverage is handled at Lawson Dentistry: As an out-of-network dentist, we work with all insurance providers, but we aren’t locked into the rates and coverage options that insurance providers set for their in-network dentists.
Instead, you get access to the best materials, technologies, and cosmetic labs in the nation, and where other providers refer out cases that need dental implants or cosmetic care because they can’t manage the required discounts, we keep everything in-house. It’s very important to us that you can have all the care you need in one location—Lawson Dentistry in Urbandale.
Membership Payment Plans
Our plan provides the professional oral care you want at an affordable price! By offering the plan directly to you, we remove the cost and hassle of a middleman. We keep it simple, pass the savings on to you, and focus on your oral care! These plans are for NON-insured existing patients.
Plus, each care plan includes these additional benefits:
- Treatment Discounts: Up to 10% off procedures completed at our practice, like fillings and CBCT.
- Family Discounts: 5% subscription discount for family members added to your membership
What else should I know?
- Our membership plan is not insurance and is not a qualified health plan under the Affordable Care Act
- Payment for any treatment(s) not included in the membership plan is due at the time of service
- The membership plan benefits may not be combined with insurance, other offers, or discounts
- The membership plan is priced for existing patients.
- The membership runs for 12 months from the day you join
- Our membership plan does not discount the following procedures in our office (unless purchasing additional
add-on packages):- Cosmetic treatment such as bonding or veneers
- Sleep apnea and TMJ appliance
- Implant Services (CDT codes D6000-6199), including dentures and partials supported by implants
- Orthodontics such as comprehensive orthodontic treatment and appliance therapy (CDT code D8000-D899

Your Initial Appointment at Lawson Dentistry
Your first visit will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options (based on the comprehensive evaluation findings). In some cases, treatment may begin your very first appointment, but with many patients, decisions have to be considered. Future appointments will be scheduled once those decisions have been made.
Please bring any of the following to your first appointment:
- Xrays (if you have them)
- A list of medications you’re currently taking
- New patient paperwork (if done ahead of time)
- Insurance card
- Referral slip if you have one

All those under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian with them, and please let us know of any serious medical conditions you have upon your arrival.
