COVID-19 Update

As the public health situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, all of us here at Lawson Family Dentistry have been closely monitoring updates from both local and national authorities to safeguard the health and well-being of our patients. Our office remains open for emergency and necessary procedures for our wonderful patients. While we are being more vigilant as times are always changing, we have always put our patients’ safety and protection at the forefront.

  • We would also like to ask that anyone who has traveled out of the United States in the last 14 days call to reschedule his or her appointments, as well as anyone 80 years or older or with a compromised immune system. We will not be seeing anyone with a fever over 100°, a chronic cough or labored breathing.
  • For those of you who have appointments, we are implementing a ‘parking lot reception room’. You are welcome to call the office or give a little wave when you arrive, and someone will come out to get you from your vehicle when your appointment time begins.
  • Cleanliness has always been a top priority for us and we have always implemented strict sanitation policies. Adhering to rigorous infection control procedures as outlined by the American Dental Association and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you can rest assured knowing that our staff are continuing to take every precaution to ensure that our office is effectively cleaned and sanitized. We have also added antibacterial rinses and protections from Aerosols chair side, to protect both you and our team

We recognize that the situation is evolving rapidly, and we’re tirelessly working to ensure that we continue to safely provide exceptional dentistry service to the residents of Urbandale and Des Moines. Our staff have been instructed to stay at home should they encounter even the slightest signs of illness, so we appreciate your patience in the event of minor staffing shortages. If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, we ask you to please reschedule your appointment.

Updates will continue to be provided through our website and social media channels, including information relating to appointment cancelations and our hours of operation. As always, Dr. Lawson will be available via emergency line, and any other questions can be directed to our regular office number.

The team here remains committed to helping our patients maintain excellent oral health, and we look forward to serving you with the same level of care that you’ve come to expect from Lawson Family Dentistry.
