If you need braces for uneven teeth, then you may assume metal braces are your only option. While they can offer a solution to misalignment, we have a practically invisible alternative to metal braces that can offer a faster route to even smiles. Can we straighten your smile in a matter of months with the MTM® Clear Aligner System?
The Benefits of Orthodontic Treatment
If you have crooked or crowded teeth, then you may have difficulty thoroughly brushing and flossing. Soon, this can increase the risk of tooth decay and gum disease. The pressure an uneven smile places on the jaw joints can also lead to ta greater risk of TMJ disorder and bruxism. Finally, you may feel self-conscious about your smile, avoiding smiling and leading to negative impacts in your quality of life. Addressing misalignment can have a number of benefits for your smile.
The MTM® System
Instead of using tension and metal brackets/wires to correct smiles, we will instead take detailed impressions of your smile, which we will be used to create a series of aligners. The plastic aligners will then be worn daily for between 20 and 23 hours. About once every two weeks, you will upgrade to a new set as your teeth are corrected. The length of treatment will depend on the cause and extent of your misalignment, but qualifying patients typically see optimal results in between three and six months.
The Advantages of Clear Braces
First, the aligners will be made from a clear plastic material, making them barely noticeable. They will fit comfortably and help you avoid the gum and cheek irritation so common with metal orthodontics. You can remove them before meals, so you don’t need to change your diet. Being removable also makes brushing and flossing much, much easier! Finally, they won’t require 18 months to 24 months to see results, as they can correct minor alignment issues in just a matter of months.
